In 2011, for the first time in over ten years, Corncrakes returned to the village of Uig on the Isle of Skye.
As if that wasn't enough big news for our many bird-watching Guests, one of them took up residence at Cuil Lodge in the long grass at the back of our green house. Its not the most melodious feathered visitor we've ever had, but it did cause significant interest. Well the news is that its back. Early opinions of the 2012 visitor point to it being no more musical than last year.
